We have over 60 years of combined guiding experience so we have the knowledge base and know how to help you bag the bear of a lifetime. Hunting and fishing is our passion and our lively-hood.

We have the chance to run baits in permit areas 12, 13 and 41, but really key on 13. Our bait stations have been established and open for over 17 years. It’s no secret that the Big Bog area around Waskish is home to some BIG BLACK BEAR!!!
We have had countless entries in the Pope and Young Record Book and the Boone and Crocket North American Record Book.
Bear Paw Guides caters the hunt to the hunter, accommodating any weapon of your choice. We accept people of all skill and physical abilities, we have baits that are of easy access and most that are remote areas. We run ground blinds or elevated ladder stands. Each hunter will be guaranteed to be on an active bait station and will have an alternate bait station available if needed. We want your bear hunt to be a hunting experience of a lifetime! We do our best to ensure that it happens!

We do things a bit different than most other outfitters. We leave your hunting days OPEN-ENDED!!! You come for 5 days during the first time period of your choice. If you do not harvest your bear then you are welcome to return to the bear camp to hunt again! This greatly increases your chance for success!
Bring your boat and fish one of the finest Walleye fisheries in Minnesota, UPPER RED LAKE!!!
We do all of the baiting and monitoring of your bait station so all you have to do it come up and hunt, once you get here you can get as involved as you want in your hunt.
We will track, retrieve, field dress and skin your bear. We have freezer space available right at bear camp.
There will be trail cam pictures upon your arrival.
